What is WP?
Wideahay Productions was founded in 2023 by Photographer and Creative Director, Sophie Shomaker. Created in Seattle, WA, WP was designed to be the hub for all-things music, with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility for everyone. Within 6 months of forming, WP has gone from just a photography brand to a full-fledged production company specializing in concert photography, music video production, and a monthly online publication featuring local artists. This is an LGBTQIA+ female-owned business, and hate has no place here.
A Word from the Founder
"Wideahay Productions has been a dream of mine since I was 14-years-old. Music has played a monumental role throughout my life, and it will always be my biggest passion, tied with photography, of course. I feel fortunate to be able to own a platform like this to create and inspire others, as well as uplift the voices of local artists. Even if this company were to only reach one person, I will die happy knowing I made a positive impact in someone's life."

"Wideahay (pronounced wide-uh-hay) is an anagram for 'hideaway,' a word that meant a lot to me when I was younger, and I guess still does. A hideaway is a safe space, where you can be yourself without judgement. In a sense, that is what this production company is, a place where artists can go and be creative in any way they want.
